Unlocking the potential of second-chance entrepreneurship in the Danube region (DanubeChance2.0)

The EU funded project DanubeChance2.0 supports failed entrepreneurs in the Danube region to start a new business after bankruptcy. One aim is to improve the policy framework and conditions for second-chance entrepreneurship in the Danube countries. In a multi-actor policy learning dialogue between policy makers, research institutes, universities and companies struck by bankruptcy new concepts shall be elaborated to this end. Another aim is to better prepare second-chance entrepreneurs for their new venture. The project will deliver a 130 hour training programme and provide business acceleration support for approximately 60 entrepreneurs whose first projects failed. A transnational pool of experts will offer mentoring for second-chance entrepreneurs, even after the project ended.

Altogether, the activities of the project shall positively impact the climate for second-chance entrepreneurship in the Danube area and unlock its great economic potential.
