Development of an innovation audit for social innovation (DepoSIt)
Social innovations and solutions to societal challenges are becoming more and more important in today's world. The DepoSIt project therefore aims to develop an improved innovation support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that includes both economic and particularly social aspects. In a pilot phase, this newly developed innovation audit tool for social innovation will be tested in a randomized control study on more than 90 SMEs from six EU countries and subsequently validated. The results of the study will be incorporated into a transnational strategy with policy recommendations to sustainably promote the social innovation potential of companies.
The SEZ manages the project as project coordinator: the project management, setting up the project management structure; identification and analysis of; existing innovation support instruments; development of a new innovation support instrument with economic and social criteria (innovation audit for social innovation); design and implementation of a European comparative study on the effectiveness of the newly developed instrument.
