Wirtschaftskongress BW meets UK | 24.11.2021

The business congress "BW meets UK" took place on 24 November 2021 as part of the Economic Partnership Initiative as a digital event via the event platform veertly. The participants were welcomed on the platform with a short welcome video by Michael Kleiner, Ministerial Director at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg and the British Consul General Simon Kendall.

The audience was able to ask questions and talk to the experts in seven expert forums on various topics, including "Customs and EU-UK trade in goods" or "Employee secondment and business travel to the UK". In the afternoon, the livestream started with the 2nd part of the business congress with many insightful impulses from politics and business. Fields of action and concrete information on trade with the United Kingdom and cooperation with British companies were presented. A very interesting item on the programme was the "Look into the Future" with Minister of Economic Affairs Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut MdL and British Ambassador Jill Gallard. 120 participants followed the expert forums and the livestream via the platform.
