WEBINAR: Regulatory barriers and opportunities for clean energy transition on the EU islands

Clear and supporting legal and regulatory framework is a main building block of enabling and accelerating energy transition on EU islands. In the past two years the Clean energy for EU islands secretariat has been engaging with local, regional and national stakeholders in member states with the inhabited islands to understand existing regulatory framework, barriers to clean energy transition of the islands and to together with stakeholders propose recommendations for overcoming them. Specifically this work has focused on seven member states: Croatia, Greece, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Sweden.

All the findings have now been compiled into country-specific studies that will be presented in our webinar on 23 January 2023 | 3 - 4:30 pm CET.

This webinar will focus on the results of these studies and analysis with recommendation on what can be done on island level, member state level and EU level to support clean energy transition of the EU islands.
