European project NEWTICKETT

New tools to improve clusters key European Technology Transfer

The aim of the EU-funded project „NewTickett“ was to enhance inter and intra cluster technological co-operations in fields like biotechnology, mechatronics and medical technologies. The international exchange of information, targeted business meetings and cooperation between clusters across different sectors supported the transfer of technology and made an important contribution to strengthening innovation in the respective regions. The SEZ collaborated closely with the BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg GmbH. The innovation potential of clusters was identified using a European method and appropriate actions to support innovation were supported.

In 2007, a profile catalogue to identify areas of cooperation of participants from Baden-Württemberg was created. Also, a cluster meeting at the BIOTECHNICA 2007 from 9. to 11.10.2007 in Hanover took place.

In 2008, nine SMEs in Baden-Württemberg were visited in the framework of NewTickett and were evaluated using the methodology developed in the project for the evaluation and assessment of cooperation potential and innovative project ideas. The results were recorded in a booklet that is available from Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum.

The consortium consisted of six partners from five European countries (DE, FR, IT, GR, BE).

Project duration: 06/2006 - 05/2008
