European project EeB-CA²
Support in technology transfer and technology exploitation in energy-efficient buildings
The project EeB-CA² (Energy Efficient Buildings Cluster Activities Coordination Action) was dedicated to the topic of energy efficiency in buildings. Its goal was to use a technology- and geoclustering approach in order to develop instruments, which will raise the perception of running and closed EeB PPP (public-private partnerships for energy-efficient buildings). At the same time, the industrial uptake of project results should be accelerated. The target group have been approximately 130 EU-projects. The partners identified technologies, methods and results with a major market potential and supported the further development and the awareness level. For this purpose they set up groups of experts, installation of a common knowledge platform technology- and geoclustering and carried out trainings, webinar and cooperation forums.
Steinbeis 2i GmbH was responsible in EeB-CA² for the support of integrated technology transfer. This includes the identification of technologies developed in the projects, the definition of their technology readiness level (TRL) and the implementation of training sessions to support their exploitation. S2i supported the project coordinator during the proposal creation and contract negotiation phase.
