European project EeB-CA²
Support in technology transfer and technology exploitation in energy-efficient buildings
The project EeB-CA² (Energy Efficient Buildings Cluster Activities Coordination Action) is dedicated to the topic of energy efficiency in buildings. Its goal is to use a technology- and geoclustering approach in order to develop instruments, which will raise the perception of running and closed EeB PPP (public-private partnerships for energy-efficient buildings). At the same time, the industrial uptake of project results should be accelerated. This will lay the grounds for future synergies and alliances oriented towards further RTD and industrial innovation, according to business and market trends.
The implemented activities are mainly targeted at consortia of existing EU EeB PPP projects in order to improve and reduce time to market of the exploitation of their project outcomes and results. Through the installation of a common knowledge platform technology- and geoclustering of actors will be realized. To reach the project goals the following steps will be undertaken:
- Creation of a technology and geoclustering platform for European stakeholders and technologies of existing EeB PPP projects for a common knowledge exchange
- Implementation of integrated dissemination activities
- Activities to support integrated technology transfer
Steinbeis-Europe-Zentrum is responsible in EeB-CA² for the support of integrated technology transfer. This includes the identification of technologies developed in the projects, the definition of their technology readiness level (TRL) and the implementation of training sessions to support their exploitation. SEZ supported the project coordinator during the proposal creation and contract negotiation phase.
Project duration: 02/2015 – 01/2017
Participating countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy
