Exploitation of research results and clustering of „Factories of the Future“ projects

EFFECTIVE was a EU funded CSA (Coordination and Support Action) aiming at the exploitation of innovative technologies through enhanced clustering to support technology transfer, innovation, value creation and business trends for the European industry. Focus lied in the classification of technologies in six R&I priority areas, which have been defined in the FoF-(Factories of the Future) Roadmap as well as in high tech level and dependency.

The project partners have developed a clustering model to extend regional networks and alliances. Furthermore, they have created a cluster database and an exploitation framework. Additionally, partners dedicated in creating a roadmap with future FoF research and development priorities.

SEZ's tasks within the project:

  • Global market monitoring of technological developments within and outside FoF activities
  • Set-up of a case study in the medical devices sector in Baden-Württemberg (e.g. research, market monitoring, identification of suitable enterprises and technologies)
  • Exploitation of project results
