Support for small and medium-sized enterprises in their digital, green and Industry 5.0 transformation (RECENTRE)

The manufacturing sector in and around the Alps is confronted with several simultaneous challenges: not only the ecological transformation, which intends to reduce the influence of production processes on the environment and climate, needs to be tackled, but also the digital transformation, which is increasingly driven by options of AI. Small and medium-sized enterprises in particular are challenged with their commitment to efficiency, flexibility and sustainability on a daily basis. At the same time, they have to ensure that they remain attractive for qualified workers.

The Interreg Alpine Space project RECENTRE addresses these challenges by developing regionally adapted support formats that take the public sector into account. By developing a project-specific transformation strategy for SMEs and supporting implementation by SMEs in the project regions, RECENTRE provides expertise, tools and technology for the transformation of the manufacturing sector in and around the Alpine region. This encourages and enables companies to develop and implement their own transformation plan with a focus on a green, digital and human-centric Industry 5.0.
