Rural Bioeconomy to boost innovation and competitiveness of Entrepreneurs (RuBIO)

The RuBIO project supports the preparation of a project focusing on bioeconomy in rural areas. RuBIO aims to become a strategic initiative to develop and support the rural economy in the Danube region through the promotion of sustainable practices. By promoting innovation and the adoption of technologies and best practices in the fields of biotechnology and bioproduction, the RuBIO initiative aims to increase the economic potential of rural areas across the Danube region. RuBIO will explore the potential for the adoption of bio-based solutions by entrepreneurs (start-ups, SMEs and larger companies) in the Danube region and beyond.

Steinbeis Europa Zentrum is a project partner and is responsible for:

• Review available funding opportunities and create a roadmap for project application
• Identification of relevant and potential project partners
• Organization of a series of working meetings to develop a project proposal and workplan
