European project eHealth Hub
A European hub to support SMEs within the eHealth sector
eHealth solutions allow patients to actively participate in the decision-making process already while undertaking medical preventive measures. Patients and healthcare providers receive information about expected outcomes and possible side effects in real time during diagnosis and therapy. Such services can also provide useful tools to clinics and hospitals by facilitating an efficient and error-free data management.
Companies active in the eHealth sector received support from the EU through the eHealth Hub, not only to strengthen their market position but also to raise their visibility. Moreover, they have benefitted from legal and regulatory advice and participated in training sessions on business modeling and raising funds.
Steinbeis 2i GmbH supported companies within the scope of the eHealth Hub project. For this purpose ten eHealth Roadshows throughout Europe have been organised until September 2019, with a total of 88 participants. In each eHealth Roadshow a maximum of twelve innovative companies presented their digital health solutions in five-minute pitches.
A total of 650 companies were reached internationally. Over 400 companies received support in developing their business models, access to finance, commercialisation and advice on legal aspects. A total of 45 events and trainings were carried out.
Project duration: 10/2016 – 09/2019
Countries involved: Germany, France, Great Britain, Netherlands, Italy and Spain
