Open Calls - EU project MAGICIAN

Our EU projects MAGICIAN and INVERSE focus on robot applications used in the manufacturing industry that "learn" from humans to perform complex tasks, thereby relieving human workers. Both projects follow a human-centered approach, reinforcing the transition to trust-based human-robot collaboration in industry.

MAGICIAN is developing AI-driven robotic solutions for autonomously detecting and repairing aesthetic product defects in manufacturing. Two kinds of robots are developed, namely a Sensing Robot capable of detecting and classifying defects, and a Cleaning Robot, which can remove these defects. These solutions are designed in a modular way which allows industry customers to apply them independently from each other and decide what kind of tasks are executed by the robot(s) and which ones literally remain in human hands.

The first open Call gives you up to 200,000€ for a winning proposal,

• gives you the choice between two functionality modules, F1 Perception & F2 Human-Robot Collaboration,
  offers technical support and access to cutting-edge robotics, AI, and sensor technologies

welcomes proposal submissions until 2 May 2025.

The AUTOASSESS Open Call

• gives you up to 100,000€ for a winning proposal
• gives the choice between 5 different challenges linked to the AUTOASSESS solution, a system that leverages AI & robotics for safe vessel inspection,
  offers applicants expert guidance, mentorship, training and access to infrastructure (demonstrators)

welcomes proposal submissions until 24 April 2025.
