Circular Bio-based Europe - Joint Undertaking (HORIZON JU CBE)

Das Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE Joint Undertaking) ist eine mit 2 Milliarden Euro ausgestattete öffentlich-private Partnerschaft zwischen der EU und dem Bio-based Industries Consortium. Gegründet im Jahr 2021 und mit Sitz in Brüssel, Belgien, besteht dessen Funktion in der Finanzierung von Projekten, die wettbewerbsfähige kreislauforientierte biobasierte Industrien in Europa fördern.

Ziele:

Die Hauptziele des CBE JU sind:

• Beschleunigung des Innovationsprozesses durch Entwicklung neuer biobasierter Lösungen
• Beschleunigung der Markteinführung bestehender ausgereifter und neuer biobasierter Lösungen
• Gewährleistung einer hohen Umweltverträglichkeit biobasierter Industriesysteme

Konkret finanziert die Partnerschaft Projekte in ganz Europa, die auf Folgendes abzielen:

• Forschung und Innovation im Bereich nachhaltiger biobasierter Lösungen zu unterstützen
• die Risiken von Investitionen in kreislauforientierten biobasierten Produktionsanlagen zu verringern
• die technologischen, regulatorischen & marktbezogenen Herausforderungen der Bioökonomie zu bewältigen
• die Zusammenarbeit zwischen allen Gruppen im Bioökonomie-Sektor zu stärken
• sich mit mehr Akteuren entlang der Wertschöpfungsketten auseinanderzusetzen

HORIZON-JU-CBE-2023-RIA-04: Development of novel, high-performance bio-based polymers and co-polymer

HORIZON-JU-CBE-2023-R-05: Pre-normative research to develop standards for biodegradability of bio-based products in controlled and in open environments
