2nd Open Call - EU project MAGICIAN - Extending its capabilities to new production environments

Since its start in 2023, our EU project MAGICIAN focusses on developing robotic solutions used in the manufacturing industry, namely the Sensing Robot (SR) for defect detection, and the Cleaning Robot (CR) for defect removal. MAGICIAN follows a human-centered approach, reinforcing the transition to trust-based human-robot collaboration in industry.

The project already launched its 1st Open Call in spring 2025 dedicated to integrating new functionalities within MAGICIAN project solutions which has been a great success with 73 eligible applications received from 7 different countries.

The 2nd Open Call launched on December 1st, aiming to extending the foreseen capabilities for the MAGICIAN framework within new and diverse real-time production environments.

• Funding of up to €200,000 per selected project, with up to 5 winning projects selected
• Applicants must be based in EU member states or Horizon Europe-associated countries

Applicants must select one of eight specific sectors and up to two of the MAGICIAN capabilities for demonstrating extended capabilities of our robotic solutions.
