Phosphorus at the Crossroads: Food vs. Energy - FlashPhos Online Workshop

As we recover more and more phosphorus from waste streams, various questions arise: Should it go to food production? Be used for energy technologies? Or feed into new chemical processes? How can we balance these needs – or even turn them into mutual benefits instead of competition?

In presentations and a panel discussion with experts from industry, research and authorities, these key questions will be elaborated in the interactive online workshop. To be able to represent the phosphorus value chain from different perspectives, this workshop is organised in collaboration with the EU projects NenuPhar and RENOVATE, and diverse experts and speakers are invited. There will be plenty of time for discussion and mutual exchange.

The event addresses all those interested in innovations for phosphorus recovery and phosphorus value chains, but also those generally involved in the topics of circular economy and recycling.

As a project partner of FlashPhos, Steinbeis Europa Zentrum is responsible for communication activities and dissemination of project results. Furthermore, Steinbeis Europa Zentrum  supports the international consortium of 17 participants with exploitation activities.
