European Project ASIS
Alpine Social Innovation Strategy
Technical innovation alone can no longer answer to all economic and social challenges. Social innovation is therefore regarded as an important soft location factor. Social innovation influences human potential and the capacity for technological and service innovation. At the same time, it is an engine for well-being.
The aim of the project ASIS is to develop a common strategy for social innovation in the Alpine Space, taking into account the geographical, cultural, demographic and economic characteristics of the region.
The ASIS consortium aims to develop a new approach to social innovation that meets the economic and social challenges of the individual Alpine regions. The Alpine Space is a dynamic area in terms of research, innovative projects and SI initiatives, but at the same time has limited cooperation and significant regional and social disparities. It faces crucial challenges such as climate change, socio-demographic change, migration and economic disparities.
The project partners will promote real change and develop improved cooperation between key actors, better adapted responses to societal challenges. In order to support this change, new tools and methods are being developed in the ASIS project. For example, an innovative platform, trainings, strategies and recommendations for action for public actors will be developed through a White Paper and simulation models. In the long term, the strategy should help to ensure sustainable solutions for regional challenges. Findings from existing projects and SI research will be taken up.
