European project STOP4Business – International cooperations in the area of sustainable construction
STOP4Business is a European project that supports cooperations between companies and research institutions in the area of sustainable construction.
The project aims to assist companies in accessing new markets, in agreeing on technology or development cooperations and thus aims to set in motion growth processes or preserve existing jobs in Europe.
Project activities focus primarily on brokerage events of selected trade fairs in Turkey, France and the Czech Republic, and an industry conference in Austria.
The focus of the project lies on sustainable construction, one of the six lead markets defined by the European Commission as part of the so-called Lead Market Initiative. The entire construction sector has an annual turnover of 1305 billion Euros and a workforce of 13.2 million employees, and is thus one of the most important markets in Europe.
The Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum as partner in an international consortium coordinated by Handwerk International Baden-Württemberg supports companies and research institutions in the search for suitable cooperation partners in Europe, and helps contacting them.
