European project MediaTrans developed roadmaps for media technologies
Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum coordinated the European project MediaTrans, which developed and implemented a new methodology to stimulate trans-national RTD co-operations between SMEs and RTDs in the media industrial sector. The pilot project was carried out in co-operation with partners from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, India and Poland.
The MediaTrans methodology enlarged the traditional set of instruments using a holistic and dynamic approach to enhance the readiness of SMEs to participate in European emerging and future RTD activities and programmes: The development, implementation and adoption of technology roadmaps in SMEs identified their future technology and innovation needs and increased their demand for RTD projects.
At the same time, Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum actively approached enterprises in the media sector in order to give information regarding the EU-funding programmes in the ICT area.
