HELECO 2005 – IRC Meetings Forum for Innovative Environmental & Renewable Energy Technologies

The Hellenic Innovation Relay Centre (HIRC) is organising the brokerage event “HELECO 2005 – IRC Meetings Forum for Innovative Environmental & Renewable Energy Technologies”, on 3rd-5th February 2005, in Athens.

The objective of the event is to generate contacts for technology transfer and business opportunities between local and international companies interested in solving environmental and renewable energy problems.
HIRC is organising the Forum in collaboration with IRCs involved in the Thematic Groups Environment and Renewable Energy.

The brokerage event is taking place in parallel with the Exhibition and Congress \"HELECO 2005\", an event organised by the Technical Chamber of Greece (Professional association of Greek Engineers, 75.000 members), consultant of the State in all engineering and associated legislation problems.
HELECO is an important event for the environment with great national and international participation of companies, institutes, governmental organisations, and others.
The success of HELECO ’05 is attested by the high figure of exhibitors that participated in the previous meetings of HELECO, from 1993 to 2003, a figure that ranged between 140 and 230 exhibition stands, as well as by the increasing number of visitors that exceeded the 6300 persons during the last meeting.
HELECO Exhibition and Congress will deal with the following subjects: air pollution, water pollution, marine environment, solid wastes, environmental management in the public and private sector, urban planning and environment, management of protected areas, tourism and environment, environmental education, energy and environment (hydrogen as alternative energy source, wind parks, small hydroelectric plants, other alternative forms of energy, energy saving in the industry and in domestic sectors).

HIRC will undertake to organise prearranged bilateral meetings between companies according to the submitted profiles.
