European project ELFE
E-Learning for Female Entrepreneurs
ELFE - E-Learning for Female Entrepreneurs is a transnational joint venture with partners in Belgium, Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Ireland. It's aim is to assist to promote women in setting up businesses in Europe.
The project's objective is to develop five country-specific versions of an online-course for female entrepreneurs. Additionally workshops are offered to provide women with knowledge essential for successful business founders and managers.
Female founders are as successful as their male colleagues, but their success is of a different kind: smaller companies, a less risk-orientated approach, which means a more enduring success but on a smaller scale. The ELFE online-course focuses on women's questions and needs.
Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum assisted the coordinator, the University of Applied Science Karlsruhe, in writing the proposal for the programme INTERREG IIIB NEW. The project is funded by the EU; Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum is conducting the administrative project management.
