Gender Competencies
Since the year 1999 Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum has been engaged in specific consulting services for women. At the beginning it was involved in European wide studies and good practice analyses for women entrepreneurs (see the European projects ProWomEn and ProWomEnPlus). Motivated by according measures from Sweden and Great Britain, Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum did then initiate and implement specific pilot projects aiming at the involvement of women entrepreneurs in European research and technology cooperations. Nowadays we understand that there is a specific female approach towards these topics. That is why special responses and consulting competencies are advisable.
We try to contribute to the following:
That women and men in all sectors may have equal chances in all phases of the innovation process.
Within its gender competence, Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum is actively involved in the following national and European networks and agencies:
- bga - bundesweite Gründerinnenagentur (National Agency for Women Start-ups Activities and Services)
- International Taskforce on Women and ICTs
- European Platform for Women in Science (EPWS)
- European Center for Women and Technology (ECWT)
Current support measures and activities are offered within the projects "Female Ambassadors for Entrepreneurship" and GENDERA.
Further information can be found under the already finished projects WeMentor, FemStart, WomEn2FP6, ProWomEn, ProWomEnPlus and WENETT.
