The RSI team takes/ took part as an expert in various advisory bodies as well as Europe-wide networks of practitioners and stakeholders in the field of strategic intelligence:
European Foresight Monitoring Network (EFMN)
The EFMN is a network of experts that conducts monitoring and analysis of world-wide foresight initiatives. The objective of the network is to identify and disseminate results of these initiatives through its website. The SEZ provides contribution through its foresight expertise.

Mutual Learning Platform (MLP)
The MLP is a European platform supporting regional cooperation and exchange of experience in the fields of regional foresight, regional benchmarking and regional growth poles. On behalf of the MLP, the SEZ was assigned with a task to design and carry out Europe-wide training and coaching in regional foresight.

European Regional Science Association (ERSA) /
Regional Science Association International (RSAI)
The European Regional Science Association (ERSA) is one of three supraregional groupings of individual national and international sections or associations which together constitute the Regional Science Association International (RSAI). RSAI is an international community of scholars interested in the regional impacts of national or global processes of economic and social change. The work of the community draws on the expertise of many different disciplines and this multi-disciplinary approach helps to facilitate new insights for tackling regional problems.

The Blueprints Expert Group
This expert group elaborated five guides, the so called “Blueprints for Foresight Actions in the Regions”. The Blueprints offer practical advice and best practice examples on how to plan, design and implement Foresight processes in regions by taking into account various regional contexts.

The Expert Group for elaborating the Practical Guides to Regional Foresight
These guides provide valuable advice on the application of Foresight at the regional level. With the aim to support the application of foresight in an enlarged European Union, they were written for most of the member states. These documents are edited in countries’ native languages and adapted to country specific governance structures.

FOREN Network
The Foresight for Regional Development Network (FOREN) aimed to foster the application of Foresight in regional policy development and strategic planning. The network was supported by the 5th Framework Programme for Research.
High Level Expert Group on Foresight to strengthen the strategic basis of the ERA
This expert group was established by the European Commission to foster the development of foresight activities as a means to strengthen the European Research Area (ERA). The outcome of the group’s work was a final report entitled „Thinking, debating and shaping the future: Foresight for Europe” (2002).

European Expert Group on regional foresight for an enlarged European Union
This expert group was established in 2001 with the goal to analyse the potential for foresight initiatives in the enlarged European Union. The outcome of the group’s work was a report entitled „The Potential of Regional Foresight” (2002).
